- Characters - good 3 dimensional characters
- Plot - good and interesting plot
- Cliché - avoid trite clichés
- Make my heart flutter - aka good smut or fluff that isn't of questionable moral
- Pure love - doesn't romanticise rape and none consensual sex but shows pure love or criticizes acts of sexual violence.
Not a whole lot that goes in but you'd be surprised by how many BL's fail this rating system.
